Description

1984 Used Coachmen LEPRECHAUN Class C in Michigan, MI. Chevy 30 cab with 6.2 liter diesel. Vehicle runs and I believe engine to be sound.  Body and interior are in very good shape, no rust or known cabin leaks; has been stored indoors except since August 2017 when we acquired it.  CB radio (not installed) with home station, spare tires, and a few incidental and inconsequential extras included.  On board Onan generator. Have owner's manual, complete vehicle repair manual, and manuals on some of the components. Tires have good tread, but are old.
Vehicle needs work to be reliable for traveling any distance.  We have only driven it about 40 miles from point of pick-up to current location (Unionville, Michigan).  We had originally intended to drive it from Michigan to Florida where we reside, however, I am not in a position to do the work necessary to make it reliable for such a trip.
Maintenance needs:
Transmission revs high before shifting, cause unknown.  There is a leak in the rear trans seal, so may only be a low fluid problem or it could be something more serious.
Will start and continue running after being jumped, but will not restart after stopping.  May only need battery, but may be other charging issues.
Issues described to me by previous owner that I have not been able to investigate:
Fuel gauge does not work. Was told it is a detached wire by previous owner.
Generator works, but the day before we picked it up the caretakers of the vehicle put diesel fuel in the gas tank for the generator; diesel must be removed and replaced with gasoline.  (NO PROBLEMS WITH MAIN ENGINE FUEL)
Hot water heater is by-passed because it has leaks.
Not sure if fridge works.
Engine fuel injection pump has slow drip leak.  A used replacement pump is included with vehicle.

Blue book for this vehicle is 3-4K.  Because the body and interior are in such good shape, this is an economical vehicle for someone with the time and mechanical ability to make repairs.  Another potential use, without having to repair everything, is as a hunt camp or similar outdoor retreat.

Currently, I have the assigned title from the previous owners and will not have full title transfer until I return to Michigan and get to Secretary of State Office in mid-May.  I am glad to answer any questions about the vehicle, title, or anything else.  I hope to have more photos posted soon.
