Description

1995 Used Serro Scotty HILANDER Class C in Arizona, AZ. 1995 Serro Scotty 3100 Highlander diesel 4x4 for sale. This is a very rare and highly sought after motorhome. Serro built these motorhomes on Dodge cab and chassis until 1997 when the manufacturing plant burned to the ground. They didn't produce huge numbers and the number where even smaller on the larger rear bed models like this one.

It's powered by a 12 valve Cummins turbo diesel. It has been tuned on to produce usable towing power with low EGT's. A exhaust brake was also added and upgrades include, TST #10 plate, boost elbow, 3k govern springs, pump tuning, S&B cold air intake, full 4" turbo back exhaust and isspro gauges to monitor trans temp, boost and EGT's. The 47RH auto trans has been built by Goerend transmissions. It also has a BD auxiliary trans cooler with a stand alone fan rated for 30k gross weight and a double deep finned aluminum trans pan. Performance upgrades include, billet single disk torque converter, valve body, billet internals, 48re rebuild kit.  A one piece 6" aluminum drive shaft was built to get rid of the failure prone carrier bearing.

All 8 tires are 235/85/16 Toyo A/T's that are load E rated.  It tows very well, it has a brake controller that controls the electric brakes on the tag axle and the trailer brakes.

All the upholstery was redone with modern patterns and looks great. High end laminate wood flooring is installed everywhere but the rear bedroom which still has the original carpet. All the cabinet hardware was changed to modern oil rubbed bronze hardware. There is a Empire 10,000 BTU ceramic brick heater installed. this heater will keep the coach very comfortable even in single digit weather and use no battery power....best upgrade ever for camping in the winter.

The coach holds 40gal. Of water and has a quick recovery water heater. Fridge and freezer work great, as does the stove top and microwave. The propane generator does have a small oil leak while running but not when not in use. There is 2 house batteries and 2 chassis batteries. The house batteries charge from the truck once it's running. There is also a flat screen TV and DVD player installed. The awning is newer and is a checkered flag pattern.  A new Gaco silicone roof was Installed a few years ago. The original roof was black and every time it rained, it would leave black streaks down the side of the coach. All the water lines and the water tank are mounted inside the coach, so you never have to worry about freezing over when camping in cold weather.

Know issues. It is in excellent shape for the age but keep in mind it is 21 years old. It has slight delam around a few of the windows. The lower window tracks are plastic and cracking. The window manufacturer is no longer in business for replacement parts. New ones could be made or they can be left as is. The windows still function and seal as they should.  Generator has a small oil leak while running.
