Description

1997 Used Fleetwood SOUTHWIND Class A in California, CA. Price Reduced! $12,995 OBO

We are the proud third owners of this 1997 Fleetwood Southwind Storm. This well kept home on wheels has a clean, timeless and elegant paint scheme and shows a well maintained, expansive open floor plan with a convertible dinette and a rear, large queen bed with storage underneath it. This little gem is 27 feet long allowing for easy maneuverability almost anywhere you go. It sleeps 4 and has all the good equipment in a little package. The coach sports the desirable P30 Chassis and a nearly brand new V8 454 engine (only about 11,000 miles on it) which will pull plenty behind it. It even comes with a full car hauling kit (included). The concave roof makes this a very desirable, classic coach. This coach runs and drives beautifully.

The reason we've decided to sell is simply because we just don't use her as much as we thought we might and would like to see her go to a couple or family that would use her more often. We purchased her not long ago from an older couple from San Luis Obispo, California. They had taken her cross country and really enjoyed their time with her.

We run the engine and the generator on a strict routine (monthly) to keep all the juices flowing and ready for use. The generator fires up from the front seat and works perfectly. The storage tanks have been recently emptied and are ready for use. We've also had it in the shop recently for a once over to ensure all parts and pieces are operating well. Came back with a clean bill of health from the RV center.

There are a couple things (dings etc) we're aware of we'd like you to know about as you consider a visit to your soon-to-be new home on the road, especially as some of you may travel in from out of town to look her over. There is a small bump on the front left bumper and the rear bumper seems to have a dent from a previous owner's seemingly not so smooth backup maneuver (really only slightly noticeable). We have included photos of both of these cosmetic dings so you can see them for yourself. Also, as a 20 year old coach, the suspension may benefit from some service to optimize its performance. None of this will keep you away from your next adventure, according to the mechanic.

A couple other things that might be of interest:

6 seat belts

New, clean carpet & linoleum throughout

New brakes at 44,974 miles (less than 1,500 miles on them)

Only 10,000 miles on the tires, shop says they're fine; I'd replace them before a long trip

Auto Leveling System (operates from the front seat)

Onan MicroLite 4000 Generator (267 hours total; recent full tune up at 245 hours)

Patio Awning

Lighted Entry Step (auto open/close)

Tilt Wheel

Cruise Control

Stereo/Cassette Player

Two-Door Refrigerator

Full Bathroom with shower

Trickle Charger Included
