Description

1998 Used Itasca SPIRIT 31WT Class C in Maine, ME. Clean and comfortable starter RV!  Itasca made by Winnebago with a great reputation for quality. Super slide makes for lots of room inside. Really nice condition for a 1998 with 76,727 miles - not too few or too many. New tires less than 2 years old with a couple thousand miles on them. All systems work great. Sleeps 6 currently, table could easily be made to a bed to sleep 1-2 more, but it is not set up that way at this time.

West coast vehicle (California) for most of its life - has spent only 2 years in Maine. We purchased 2 years ago to enjoy the last couple summers while our kids still wanted to be with us and go camping. Both 16 now, they will have summer jobs this year and not much time to camp anymore so we are downsizing to a van so we can more easily head out for quick getaways without the kids.

We bought sight unseen (but had it independently inspected) from California and had it driven to Maine. Made the 3000 mile trip with no problems. Upon inspection we were told it needed front brakes, drag link assembly, sway bar brackets and bushings, ball joints and new tires because they all had plugs in them. Also had oil cooler replaced, hoses replaced and cooling system flushed. Driver's side caliper replaced last summer. The outdoor shower is not currently working. Our first weekend out with the RV we hooked up the water and unbeknownst to us there was a small leak in the hose where it attached to the outdoor shower, which is behind the bed in the bedroom. So the carpet in the bedroom got wet from the leaky outdoor shower faucet. We pulled up much of the carpet under the bed to get it all completely dried out. We weren't successful in getting it to stop leaking so we just capped the hoses since we didn't really need to use the outdoor shower. It could be fixed, but we just haven't done it ourselves.

Air conditioning is cold and furnace is hot. Onan generator runs well. Refrigerator and freezer in great working order. Mircrowave, TV, propane stove and oven. Updated stereo in cab. Interior was updated by last owner. Queen sized bed in back bedroom has very comfortable thick mattress. Plenty of storage. Awning works well but has a small tear in the seam right above the door.

The fiberglass roof was punctured by branch (few inches) that fell from the tree above this winter. It was professionally fixed and looks great. While on the roof, the RV repairman suggested that the old caulking on the roof be removed and resealed because of its age so we had that done so it should be all set for many years to come. There are no structural leaks in the RV.

Overall, it's a perfect family motorhome for making lots of wonderful memories! Serious inquiries only please.
