1999 Used Other OTHER Pop Up Camper in Texas, TX. For sale is a lightweight clamshell type tent camper. Camper construction is aluminum, wood and steel and can easily be towed behind a small car. I tow it with a Nissan Maxima but could easily tow it with my wife's Mazda Miata. The guy I bought it from towed it with his Harley Davidson. I personally don't think I would do that, because at 600lbs, it weighs almost as much as a motorcycle. I tow it with a class 2 hitch. The overall length, from tip of the tongue to the very end of the camper box is is 11' 6'' long and 52" wide when towed. With a full size mattress cushion inside, it comfortably sleeps 2 up off of the ground in warm dry conditions. When you unfold the clamshell  the bed is actually the trailer and above the axle and between the wheels, the top becomes the floor. The height difference between the bed and floor is like a couch so when you sit on the bed your knees are bent at about 90 degrees. It is EASILY moved by hand. I never have to back it into camping locations. I simply unhitch and pull it around by hand. It has new tires with plenty of tread and a full size spare underneath. All of the lights and the surge braking system all work fine. This camper can be popped up and closed by ONE person in 5 minutes, closed to open. We usually throw camping chairs, 10'x10' popup canopy, coolers, containers with cookware and small Honda Generator on top. It tows with all of this stuff on top with no issues.
