Description

2002 Used Newmar DUTCH STAR 3852 Class A in Washington, WA. Our Motor Home been modified to 1) accommodate a mobility handicapped person and 2) make it better for long or  full time living/travel.  Power is a Cat C7 engine.  It has all the standard equipment usually found on a Motor Home of this class, such as awnings to protect the doorway and create an outdoor patio. Ample storage space is found in bins that are accessible from either side of the coach.

  • The oven has been upgraded to a combination convection/microwave with a range hood.
  • Two AC’s with a heat pump and central controls.
  • Combo washer/dryer.
  • Power driver and co-pilot seats.
  • Semi- auto leveling jacks.
  • Fantastic vent fans
  • Two slide-outs on the street-side.
  • Queen size bed.

The changes made to enhance mobility are:
  • A power chair lift has been installed on the side of the coach directly to the rear of the door to allow a person to be lifted into or let down from the coach without climbing any stairs. The chair can be easily removed, just pull a pin, and store in a bin for travel.
  • A double power recliner has been installed on the street side and mounted on a 5 ½ inch riser to make it easier to get up and down.
  • Both the dinette table and chairs have been raised about 4 inches.
  • The toilet has a 3 ½ inch riser installed.

Other changes that improve the ‘live-ability’ of the coach are:
  • Each of the recliners has a swing away table installed for using a laptop, eating, etc.
  • On the curb-side, a custom cabinet with storage space and space for an icemaker and computer printer was installed. Included in the back of this cabinet is a 48 inch TV with a power lift (Up to watch, down for travel).
  • A surround sound system is installed with the sound bar above the TV and the rear speakers on the wall behind the recliners
  • A power antenna for DirecTV is installed with a ‘Genie’ controller/DVR.

If you have a vehicle that can be flat towed, you will only have to equip it with a Blue-Ox faceplate – the tow bar is already on  the motorhome.  Also, there is an auxiliary braking system, called an ‘Air Force One’, which can be moved from my vehicle and re-installed on yours.

The vehicle is located in North Bend, WA and is available, clean and ready to go, right now.
