Carriage was known for building high quality luxury 5th wheels. They used thick aluminum roof trusses on 16" centers, aluminum wall studs on 16" centers, fully insulated 5/8" plywood sub-floor, and deep interior cabinets with Oak raised panels on cabinets and drawers. Construction details provided upon email contact.

We ordered this trailer with the options and MSRP of about $85K. We added about $25,000 of after-purchase upgrades. It has been very well taken care of mechanically and in appearance. The trailer has been professionally waxed once or twice a year using high quality marine wax and was typically covered throughout the Winter. The original decal stripes were fading so we had them stripped off and painted on using automotive quality paint, the "Carri-Lite" decals were replaced with new ones.

One of the best upgrades we made was replacing the propane/electric 12 cu ft refrigerator, which always struggled to keep food cold in the Texas heat, with an 18 cu ft Samsung residential fridge and a 2000W inverter. We also upgraded the batteries to sealed Optima deep-cycle RV/Marine batteries.

The interior has been upgraded with new furniture and lighting. The sleeper sofa is by La-Z-Boy and is the most comfortable inflatable mattress we've ever tried. The two chairs are smooth reclining gliders that also swivel, with matching gliding ottomans, all upholstered in a soft microfabric. All fluorescent lightning has been replaced with energy efficient and cool LEDs. The TV's are both LCD with satellite connections to the roof-mounted dish switchable to an external tripod dish. Holding tank gauges have been replaced with the SeeLevel II electronic digital readout that makes them much more reliable, and the entry lock was upgraded to a Bauer combination model.

This trailer has been very well maintained with frequent washing/waxing of the exterior and annual inspection/maintenance of suspension, brakes, and all mechanical systems. The new RV Armor roof means no more caulking! The painted on decal stripes means no more fading or cracking decals. We have complete maintenance records and travel history.
