2010 Used Fleetwood ICON 24D Class C in California, CA. SUPER LOW MILES - GREAT CONDITION - UPGRADES!
This Fleetwood Icon 24D has one of the best floor plans, built on the Sprinter Chassis with Mercedes Benz DIESEL engine. Highway mileage is an amazing 16-18 mpg -- most gas engines this size only get 8-10 mpg. Handles very well on the road. I really love this rv camper, but I am not using it enough. Overall the unit is very clean great condition, from a non-smoking family, no pets ever inside. Flooring and fabrics are in very good shape, no tears or stains. The slide-out makes a great open space inside. List of updates/upgrades:
* Replaced all tires with higher quality commercial BF Goodrich tires. Remaining tread in excellent state
* Replaced problematic awning with new armless Dometic 9500 awning
* Added 2 SOLAR PANELS to roof for up to 220 WATTS charging power
* Added 3 additional deep cycle batteries for total of 5 HOUSE BATTERIES (combined rating 535 amp-hours)
* Installed 30 amp solar charge controller with LCD info display
* Installed 2000 watt PURE SINE WAVE INVERTER
* Added temperature sensing In/Out Fantastic ceiling vent Fan
* Replaced smallish 29 gallon stock fresh water tank with 50 GALLON FRESH WATER TANK. Makes HUGE difference for longer trips!
* NEW COLEMAN A/C UNIT 13,500 BTU installed 2 months ago
* Replaced most interior lighting with LED LIGHTING and patio light with LED light-strip (looks sharp!)
* Replaced inefficient power-hog microwave with large toaster oven
* Added 2 spice racks and stainless steel rack shelf in stove area
* Replaced tiny kitchen sink with 17 inch stainless steel sink and upgraded kitchen faucet, so washing dishes and pans way easier!
* Upgraded water pump to wonderfully quiet variable speed pump
* 2 LCD televisions.
* Bicycle hitch rack for 4 bikes included.
This is a great size RV because you can get into many more beautiful state and national park campsites that large RV's cannot or have very limited availability! For example, Yosemite Upper Pines has 208 sites for this RV, go slightly larger and it goes down to 102 sites, over 27 ft and it goes down to 61 sites, and nothing over 35 feet.
Please note that there is no generator on this RV. It was removed & replaced with a new compartment for the additional batteries, solar charger & inverter. Much quieter and greener than a noisy generator; you won't be disturbing your neighbor campers! The 2000 watt inverter and extra batteries handle higher power appliances like toaster oven, vacuum cleaner, etc. when power is used wisely. The A/C unit, however, will require hookups.
