2015 Used Forest River SOLERA 24S Class C in Texas, TX. The MSRP of the Mercedes was $98,000, including 15K BTU AC with Heat PUMP, back up camera, extra coach battery, the Solera SE package (fiberglass front cap, soft touch vinyl ceiling, solid surface counters, leather driver and passenger seats, GPS Nav and Ipod Dock). This unit comes with a 4 year extended warranty through 5/5/2021 or 66,000 miles. It's a Fuel Injected Mercedes Turbo Diesel motor and chassis. It is small enough to take right turns in the city at rush hour, but large enough to sleep 4-6! It gets 15 MPG! Everyone comments "it's a Mercedes!". I would expect this Mercedes Chassis to last hundreds of thousands of miles. The storage in this Motorhome is the largest of the Forest River 24 Series; a large closet/pantry, overheads all around, cabinets, drawers under the dinette and lots outside. The fridge and freezer are spacious, and useable while traveling. It turns out that when you are traveling in the Solera, the Chassis Heat and AC is enough to keep the Motorhome comfortable without turning on the roof AC or Furnace. You can open the driver's door, the passenger's door or the Coach door to get in.
