2015 Used Shasta AIRFLYTE Travel Trailer in New York, NY. 2015 Shasta Airflyte 19 ft. 1961 Reissue! It’s not a travel trailer; it is a time machine! This is one of only 1,941 Shasta Airflyte reproductions built as a one-time special event in honor of the company’s 75th anniversary. It is an exact reproduction, using the same build sheet as the iconic 1961 “canned ham†style travel trailer that sparked the American travel trailer craze in the ‘60s. While most of the 1961 reissued Airflytes were produced in the shorter 16 ft. floor plan, this is the coveted 19 ft. floor plan, which adds a rear fold-down bunk and an L-shaped banquette in the rear. Comfortably sleeps 4 and could definitely stretch to 5 if one of them is a kid. We spent one season traveling in this trailer throughout New England and it was like traveling with a celebrity. There are NONE of these on the east coast. We got endless thumbs up on the highway and instantly became the stars of the campground as soon as we’d pull up. Even when you tell people honestly that it is a brand-new reissue, they refuse to believe it. It looks like the most meticulously restored trailer you’ve ever seen. But it also has the creature comforts and technology (microwave, bathroom, LED lighting, Bluetooth entertainment system, etc.) of modern travel trailers. It’s an amazing trailer and a truly fun experience to travel with this time capsule that reminds people of a much simpler time. Trailer is in mint condition, no scratches, nicks, dings. Meticulously maintained and barely used. Alas, my family is growing and I need to move into something a little bigger. My loss could be your one-of-a-kind find!
