Description

2015 Used Winnebago TREND 23L Class C in Rhode Island, RI. This Winnebago Trend served our family very well on a two year cross country trip, after we sold our house and left it all behind in 2015.  After 80 National Park Units, we are very sad to be selling the RV, but we are moving onto some different adventures!

For the three of us, it was the absolute best RV we could have asked for.  It is small and nimble, so that we could drive and park anywhere we wanted without any advanced planning.  However, it also has plenty of room inside to maneuver and cook (it can sleep 6 if you want it to!).

My family has 320 nights in this unit, so we can give you as much information as you need to help your buying decision.   We would also be available after the sale to give you any advice \ help you figure out all of the bells and whistles that the Trend has to offer…. or general full time \ part time RVing advice if you are new to RVing.

We bought the RV from a family in Virginia, who purchased it new and completed a 10k mile cross country trip.  We are selling it in Rhode Island, but it has never experienced a cold winter, as we spent the last two winters in Arizona.  The RV is currently registered in Texas, our full-time RV domicile location.  We averaged between 13 and 15 mpg on the road, depending on the grade of the roads we travelled.

This Trend has held up very well against the 40,000 miles on the odometer.  The bathroom door has a crack in the middle that was sustained during the prior owner’s regime, but that didn’t bother us enough to fix it.  The automatic starter on the propane cooktop is broken, but we found a lighter easier to use, so we stuck with that.  There is one small dent on the drive side house wall, but the fiberglass seems to have taken it just fine.  There is also a scratch on the passenger side front wheel well… I have no idea where it came from, I am afraid.  The driver’s seat has some slight abrasion, because that is where I worked remotely for nearly a year.  We also removed the privacy curtain between the back bed and kitchen, because it was always in the way.  We do still have the curtain, but it would need to be reattached.  My guess is that you won’t want to!

Despite this, the unit is in great shape and I would not hesitate to set out on a cross country trip in it today!  Indeed, a big part of me wishes that I was going to do just that….

I will be posting more interior pictures in the next couple of days.
