Description

2017 Used Northstar 600SS Truck Camper in Oregon, OR. This ad is for the camper only. It's a 2017 Northstar 600SS that fits on a Frontier or Canyon or Tacoma with a 6' bed. It only weighs 1258 lbs. dry weight. I had it professionally upgraded (see pictures) to improve upon the poorly designed interior storage that comes standard so it might be a few pounds heavier. I had them replace the "lift the bed" style storage with easy access sliding drawers (2) and separate compartments that are easily accessible from on top under the mattress. See the pictures. Also installed a solar panel that allows for off-grid camping. Has outdoor shower and a 6 gallon hot water tank. It has a refrigerator with a freezer that runs on propane, electricity or battery. There's a two-burner stove that hasn't been used and a sink with a pull-out faucet. I have all the original documentation. I paid $18K for it new and have receipts for $7K worth of improvements. I spent a year doing research on these campers because I wanted something that was light enough that I could easily 4 wheel with and spend time off-grid. Due to health issues I have to sell it and it was only used three times. This camper is literally better than a new one due to the storage upgrades. It's impressive.
I used my 2010 Nissan Frontier 4x4 and with this camper it was so easy to drive. No problems with the camper catching gusting wind since it sits low and driving through the hills on switch-back roads was no problem thanks to the low profile and low weight. I was able to pass slower vehicles on one-lane highways safely without any risks. It's especially great while 4 wheeling because it doesn't add any noticeable weight or change the feel of the truck.
